Privacy notice

What we collect on this site, why, and what we will never do with it.

01What we collect

  • If you join a program email list (family-access, outline list, craft updates, or a 90-day engagement follow-up): your email address, the program you chose, and the date you signed up.
  • If you email us: your message, your email address, and anything you choose to include.
  • When you load a page: basic technical data our hosting provider records to run and protect the site, such as IP address, browser type, and the page requested.
  • When you browse: our own analytics records the pages you view, the links and buttons you click, how far you scroll, how long you stay, the site that sent you, your device type, browser, operating system, screen size, language, and an approximate location (country, region, and city) worked out from your IP address. We don't store the IP address itself.
  • To count return visits, we keep a random identifier in your browser's local storage. It isn't tied to your name or email, and you can clear it at any time by clearing your browser's site data.

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, our analytics records nothing.

02What we don't do

  • We do not sell or rent personal information, or share it for advertising.
  • We do not use advertising pixels or third-party tracking scripts. Our analytics are our own, stay in our own private storage, and are never shared or sold. This site does not set cookies.
  • We do not use what you send us to train AI models.
  • We do not share personal information with any company our family members work for, including Entropy Index.
  • We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, or under the minimum age set by law where they live.

03How we use it, and why we're allowed to

  • To set up your access to the program you chose and keep you updated on it — because you asked us to (your consent).
  • To reply to messages you send us — because you asked us to.
  • To keep the site running, secure, and free of abuse — our legitimate interest in a safe site.
  • To understand which pages and features people find useful so we can improve them — our legitimate interest in a site that works. You can opt out with Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track.
  • To meet legal obligations — because the law requires it.

You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing us; it doesn't affect anything we did before you withdrew it.

04Who handles it for us

Service providers host the site and store sign-ups on our behalf — today, Vercel for hosting and private storage. When we write to you, it comes from tg@taylorgood.com through our email provider. These providers may use the information only to provide their services to us.

We may disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the safety of a person.

05Where it's stored

The Good Foundation is based in the United States, and our providers store data there. If you write to us from another country, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, with safeguards our providers apply to international transfers.

06How long we keep it

Sign-up emails are kept while you have or are waiting for access, and deleted when you ask. Messages are kept as long as needed to respond and follow up. Hosting logs are kept for the provider's standard retention period. Individual analytics records are rolled into daily summaries and deleted, usually within a day or two, and the summaries are kept for up to 25 months.

07Your rights, wherever you live

You can ask to see, correct, export, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or object to how we use it, by emailing tg@taylorgood.com. We respond within 30 days and honor these requests wherever you live. We will never treat you differently for asking.

If you think we've mishandled your information, please tell us first so we can fix it. You also have the right to complain to the data protection authority where you live.

08Security

We use reasonable safeguards, including private storage and limited access. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your information, we will tell you promptly and as the law requires.

09Health information

Health-related information has its own notice: see the Health data privacy notice. Good Health records are kept separate from the rest of the Foundation and, by policy, are never used for research.

10Changes

If we change this notice, we will post the new version here with a new effective date before it takes effect.
